Strategic Merger Creates World-Class Provider of Integrated Water Resources

October 27, 2014, Calgary, Alberta and Mississauga, Ontario – Matrix Solutions Inc. (Matrix) and PARISH Geomorphic Ltd. (PARISH) announced today they have a definitive agreement to merge their companies.
The merger brings together some of the country’s most respected experts in water resource management, leveraging Matrix’s surface water and groundwater expertise with PARISH’s expertise in geomorphology and aquatic services. It is complementary in terms of expertise, clients and strategy, providing new value to clients and new opportunities to employees.

The merger expands the geographic reach and industry base of each company nationally and internationally, while broadening Matrix’s market presence in Ontario and Eastern Canada and further diversifying its environmental and engineering consulting practice. Employees of both companies continue on in their current roles with projects proceeding as scheduled through existing offices.
The merger is effective January 1, 2015. PARISH will then operate as PARISH Aquatic Services, a division of Matrix Solutions with Robert Pockar as President and CEO, David Van Vliet as Vice-President, Eastern Water Resources, and John Parish as Principal Consultant, Geomorphology.
